Art these days is an artist-run space where artists working with the subject of living in present times exhibit, research, and educate. Exhibitions at Art these days value unique attitudes rather than special talents and ongoing projects rather than completed works. Instead of rushing after the latest trends, Art these days aims to become an exhibition space that respects projects with delicate sensibilities and sharp perspectives, unfolding today’s concerns at each artist’s pace.
Art these days has established Lab for Art these days with research and education as its core program. The three co-directors, Jungeun Kim, PARK Yong-seok, and Guiyoung Hwang, research contemporary artists’ activities and reflect on the actual problems of artists struggling with work, care, etc., while planning and implementing exhibitions and educational programs to broaden the interpretation and understanding of contemporary art.
